That quick dust wipe is costing you clear coat. 🧹❌🚗
Dust isn't soft — under a microscope it's sharp silica and grit. Dragging a dry towel across it is like taking sandpaper to your paint. That's how swirl marks and holograms start.
Texas dust + 100° sun = abrasive combo.
Key rule: NEVER wipe dry. Always lubricate first:
→ Spray detailer or rinseless wash to suspend dirt
→ Clean high-quality microfiber, folded to 8 clean sides
→ Light pat/blot, don't scrub
Your clear coat is only 100-150 microns thick. Don't sand it dry.
