🎃🍬 Local Tip Tuesday: Trick or Treat & Support Local! 🍁👻

This Thursday, October 29th, Downtown Geneva will be filled with little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses for the annual Downtown Geneva Business Trick or Treating from 2:00–5:00 PM!

Our Ken’s Auto Center team will have candy ready for all the kiddos who stop by to see us! We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes! 🍬🎃

🍁 Here’s another local tip! While you’re out enjoying the Halloween festivities, take a little extra time to explore and support our wonderful local businesses!

☕ Grab a seasonal apple c***r or fall-inspired drink.
📚 Discover a new book to cozy up with.
🍂 Find a festive fall decor piece for your home or a new pair of cozy socks.
🍕 Make an evening of it by stopping at one of our fantastic local restaurants for dinner, or order carryout to enjoy back at home!

There are so many ways to turn a fun afternoon of trick-or-treating into an opportunity to support the small businesses that make our community special. ❤️

For over four decades, Ken’s Auto Center has been proud to be part of the Geneva small business community. We love seeing our downtown come alive with families, visitors, and neighbors enjoying these special traditions.

We hope to see you Thursday! 🎃

What a wonderful fall Friday celebrating the 8th Annual Autumn Fest Geneva Self-Guided Jack O’ Lantern Walk!

Theresa and Jude enjoyed strolling through downtown Geneva, admiring the creativity of so many festive pumpkin displays, and seeing our downtown bustling with families, friends, and visitors supporting local businesses! 🎃✨

Ken’s Auto Center was proud to be the Co-Presenting Sponsor of this special community event that continues to bring people together while showcasing the incredible locally owned and operated shops, restaurants, and specialty businesses that make Geneva such a wonderful place to visit.

A special thank you to Tri-Cities local Kristen Cornelio, who organizes Autumn Fest Geneva each year. We love seeing the community come together to support small businesses and create lasting fall memories! 🍂 Today’s Autumn Fest post is a little different… and Theresa doesn’t know it’s all about her.

As I get ready for the 8th Annual Autumn Fest Geneva Self-Guided Jack O’ Lantern Walk this Friday, I wanted to take a moment to recognize someone who has quietly helped me behind the scenes year after year.

Theresa has always encouraged me with my own social media business, believed in my ideas, and continually cheers on other small businesses throughout our community. When it comes to Autumn Fest, her support goes far beyond words.

Each year, Theresa helps me tremendously by sponsoring our event T-shirts and generously letting me borrow tents, tables, chairs, and other items I need to make the event happen. Those may sound like little things, but when you’re personally organizing a community event, they make a ✨HUGE✨ difference in helping me keep costs down and continue growing Autumn Fest each year.

And this year is our biggest yet! 🎃🍂

90 local Geneva businesses will be participating by displaying pumpkins for locals and visitors to discover and vote on their favorites. Many businesses will be staying open later, giving everyone even more opportunities to shop local, dine local, and explore downtown Geneva.

We also have our largest number of FREE family-friendly experiences ever happening throughout town over 28+ different things going on!

This Friday, October 2nd from 4:00–8:00 PM, I hope you’ll come out and discover — or rediscover — some of the incredible small businesses that make our downtown Geneva community so special.

And Theresa, thank you for believing in me, encouraging my ideas, lending a hand whenever I need one, and helping Autumn Fest continue to grow. Having people behind the scenes who genuinely want to see you succeed means more than you know.

Our Autumn Fest shirts are made by Liz at Initial Impressions Embroidery, Inc., and she did an AMAZING job bringing this year’s shirts to life. Liz Hauser is also the talented woman behind the Ken’s Auto Center, Inc. team shirts and sweatshirts. I love that even the shirts for this event are another opportunity to support a local small business!

Thank you Theresa! 🎃💕✨

🎉 Happy Birthday to our very own Marcos! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Marcos and how grateful we are to have him as part of the Ken’s Auto Center team 🚗🔧

Marcos continues to impress us with his hard work, dedication, and commitment to growing his skills in the automotive industry. This year, he reached an exciting milestone by graduating with honors from Elgin Community College, earning his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Service Technology! 🎓👏

We’re incredibly proud of everything Marcos has accomplished and can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for him.

A few fun facts about the birthday guy: When Marcos isn’t working on cars, you might find him working on a puzzle, catching a new movie, or building something cool with LEGOs! 🧩🎬

Please join us in wishing Marcos a very Happy Birthday! We hope you have a fantastic day, Marcos! 🎂🥳
