After Labor Day we are more selective on the days we open. We need to anticipate at least some people coming to open.

Tomorrow is looking MUCH better - lots of sun and 80 with light off shore / south breeze looks Great!

And Saturday looks GREAT too. Hoping this forecast holds!

🛟 Meet Adam DeBoer—a police chief who brought the water with him.

Adam swam for Grand Valley State, trained in swift water rescue in South Bend, and earned surf lifeguard certifications with ISLA in Holland and California State Parks in Huntington Beach.

He’s been with the South Haven Police Department for more than 21 years and under his leadership, South Haven has become one of the Great Lakes’ most visible examples of community-driven water safety.

That work includes lifejacket loaner stations, public rescue equipment, and a lifeguard program rebuilt from the ground up alongside Chief Lifeguard David Figueredo. 🌊🛟

Now Adam will open our conference by telling the story behind transformation: how his community took hard lessons from its shoreline and turned them into real, practical action.

*UPDATE OUR burgers/ patties just ARRIVED! So we won't run out so soon and doubles will be available until they are gone.......we are about to run out of burgers. We special order our patties so most of todays will be a different burger. A quarter pounder. The price will be a little more than our std single and no doubles will be sold. These also take longer to cook. Our regular patties will be back soon.

Saturday Labor Day Weekend

Well today was fun today- let's do it again tomorrow. The forecast looks like a good one. We want to say- Thank you for coming out! We appreciate all you great WSB beach bums!

The N Wind and waves grew through out the day today.

Tonight it is forecasted to drop and switch to out of the E and south for a bit.
The waves should be considerably smaller. Time will tell.

One little girl tonight - on her way out of the parking lot- with a big smile yelled out "That was AWESOME"!

We just love that! And seeing so many people enjoying themselves safely at the beach.

WHEN IS THE LAST DAY?

Sunday September 20

September is beautiful at the beach and weather pending, we hope to be open until September 20.

Starting Tuesday Sept 8 we will close at 6:30 pm. It is getting darker earlier!
No entry 2 hrs before closing.

We continue to open at 9 a.m. daily, weather pending.

Remember no parking fee to come in and grab lunch or a snack. As the season winds down as we run out of items we do not replace them. Pls don't try to do this if there is a line to get in.

Weekdays we have small kitchen staff and some days may need to have concessions closed. We will post updates on our morning posts. Always by 8:30 a.m.

Get your beach days in (and your burgers!) !!!
