Southland Car Club

Southland Car Club Our Club meets once a month to socialize, eat and just have a great time We participate in several car shows in and around Johnston County.

Southland Car Club of Smithfield, NC, is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of all makes and models of Antique, Classic, and Special Interest vehicles. We also have a car show at least once during the year. Over the years the car club has given unmeasurable enjoyment to it's members and participants and spectators of the car shows, but in addition and probably most important

ly is its contributions to the community. We make contributions to neighboring Rescue Squads, Relay for Life (Cancer), College Scholarships, High School Scholarships and neighbors in need. We have also contributed to the American Red Cross, Church Memorials, SPCA, Hospice, Tsunami, USO & RDU. From 1999--2008 the club made a total of $15,122.00 worth of Contributions to the community.

There, car-crazy students restoring classic vehicles (from a 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300S Cabriolet, to a 1965 Porsche 356C) learn to become mechanics and detectives, artists and historians.
