Some events that I see going on. Friday evening you got Trunk or Treat at Sisters 2 in Benson, Saturday you got two local shows; the Clayton Harvest Festival car & truck Saturday (that show requires pre-registration and filled up yesterday, so if you're in you're in and if you ain't, you ain't) as well as the AACA show which has been moved to MoJo's in Garner this year, and if you like a longer drive to let your old car stretch it's legs; I have three shows that are a little farther drive out, Gifton, Stedman, and Lumberton. But with such beautiful weather forecast one thing is for sure; you should get your ride out and enjoy it this weekend while you can!

The Harvest Festival Car Show joins 300 vendors, a Kid Zone of rides and games, fly-over, food trucks, music, and more — bringing together 30,000+ visitors and 110 volunteers. All proceeds from the Clayton Chamber of Commerce’s Car Show directly support Chamber community programs.

We know there is rain forecast for tomorrow, but our best & only option at this point is to push forward with the car show. Hopefully the bulk of the bad weather passes by 9 or 9:30 and it will be clear enough for everyone to come out.

We are waiving our registration fee, so there will be no charge to enter your car in the show. We will still give out trophies and door prizes as planned, as well as dash plates for every entrant. We will accept donations for our scholarship program however that is not a requirement for you to register!

Please remember to bring some canned food items etc for the Smithfield Area Ministries Food Bank.
