One of the greatest rewards of being in business is not just gaining loyal customers, but building lasting friendships along the way.

With that being said, we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Salas and bringing his 1968 Ford F-100 vision to life.

This project was a challenge from the very beginning. Parts delays and supply chain issues kept pushing the timeline back, but Mr. Salas remained patient and trusted the process, knowing the final result would be worth the wait.

His goal was simple: build a badass street machine that nobody would expect. A classic truck with modern performance capable of shocking anyone who lines up next to it.

Under the hood sits a Dart LS Next 427 cubic-inch engine topped with Frankenstein cylinder heads and a Whipple 3.0L supercharger. A Wegner front drive system keeps everything clean and functional, while a Magnum T56 transmission and McLeod twin-disc clutch put the power to the pavement. The entire package is controlled by Holley EFI for modern drivability and performance.

Beyond the drivetrain, we upgraded the truck with power brakes, a new steering column that retains the factory steering wheel, and a Dakota Digital dash system to blend classic style with modern functionality.

With just over 100 miles on the truck, we sent it back home with Mr. Salas to complete the break-in process. Once it returns to RPM Motorsports, we'll get it on the dyno and share the numbers with everyone.
