As many of you know since my father Scott Kohn passed away in 2020 we have not been able to dedicated time to Garden Valley. We have gotten quite a few messages recently, so i figured we should make this post. Our decision was not based just on the time, but the affordable of having a full time driver in the area.

We moved back to Boise full time, and while we absolutely miss Garden Valley, it was for the best financial and mentally. We are always happy, willingly and capable to help service any needs you may have on or off-road however, we would be coming from Boise.

Mustang Towing is the closest and the most honest tow company we recommend to any of the Garden Valley community.

If you guys would mind liking and following our Boise page that would be amazing. It will help more people find us, and we would forever be grateful. We will comment below under our page or tag it, as it is not allowing me to add it to our post.

FULL ROAD CLOSURES START TOMORROW SEPT. 8

Starting tomorrow, Sept. 8, the ID-55 Smiths Ferry project will transition to the fall construction schedule. Drivers can expect full road closures Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. After 2 p.m., the road will be open to one-way alternating traffic. Please note: Delays may be significant immediately after the road reopens due to large traffic volumes. Plan to arrive later than 2 p.m. or be prepared to wait. Once this traffic clears, drivers can expect 15-minute delays.

Hello, we (Act Towing) are looking to hire a strictly part time driver, starting as soon as possible. The job opening is available only in Boise. We wanted to share to the Garden Valley page, incase anyone knew someone interested. The hours would be starting every Friday at 5pm til Monday morning at 8am. We are able to be slighly flexible changing the hours around to better suit the right person.
Job requirements:
- For insurance purposes there is a minimum age, but I am being flagged for adding it.
-Clean driving record
-Able to pass a state background check
- No Felonies within the past 5 years (ISP can still decline you depending on the charge)
- Must live in Boise.
- Be kind, professional, and respectful.

When going off road to go hunting, camping, or even just to go for a drive please be very mindful of washout from melting snow. This customer was pulling his camper up a forest service road and the camper hit a soft spit and almost pulled itself and his truck down a 40 ft drop! Forest service roads can be very dangerous this time of year! Luckily nothing was damaged and nobody was hurt! If you find yourself in need of a winch out or tow call ACT 2083753121 or 2084626150

Hello, we are no longer living in Garden Valley, but are more than happy to come up from Boise. We are in the process of training someone from Garden Valley to do our tows while we are not up there. From what we have heard, there is a new company up there, and it sounds like they are possibly saying they're affiliated with us. We work side by side with Mustang Towing, with exception of those Great guys, We have NO affiliation with any other company. All of our trucks have our logo visibility displayed on the passenger and drivers side of our trucks. We also received three one star reviews at 3am this morning, in regards to someone who works at Mountain Motors. We are in NO way affiliated with Mountain Motors, but we do share a yard off of hwy 17 together. If you have concerns about something that involves our name, please call us so we can clear up any confusion. We want to keep our name as good as possible, as we will do anything for our customers to keep you safe and happy. If we have ever completed a tow for you, we could really use help in getting us back up to 5 stars on the Garden Valley Google page. If you are planning on driving up forest roads this winter to play please be prepared for Icy conditions! This customer drove up what looked like a somewhat maintained road and quickly realized it was nothing more than ice under the little snow on the road. He slipped and kept going until the trailer slid off road and stopped him. Got them out no problem! But be advised tire chains are very important if your planning on playing on forest roads in the winter!

Well folks, looks like we're about to get some snow. Make sure you're prepared with some kitty litter for traction, food in case of an emergency, water, and some blankets. Also make sure your house is prepared for a power outage just in case.. Act Towing is in Garden Valley full time, we're just off the Middle Fork, and would love to help you if you're in need.
