I would like to share my view on the current situation that the world is facing at this time. I am writing this from my business page because I don't currently have a personal page and have very little social media skills. My purpose for sharing my opinion is to hopefully bring balance and unity in a crisis that could bring division among many. First off I want to share my opinion of God's purpose in all of this. As a man who has committed his life to following and believing in Jesus, I don't believe that this is the judgement of my God on the world. It is obvious that He did allow this to happen and I know that He has a purpose in it. Looking back at the 9-11 tragedy, I made some observations as a new believer about how I thought my God may have acted. We as Americans have lived in a country founded on Godly principles and even included God in our government meetings and organizations. We lived in the blessing of that for hundreds of years, becoming what many believe to be the greatest country ever. But we than asked God to leave our schools, courts and government meetings to be fair to those who didn't believe in Him. As He slowly did what He was asked to do He also started to remove the protection, guidance and blessing that goes along with Him. It was at that point that disaster hit our country when we thought we were invincible. Overnight there was unity in America like most of us had never witnessed and churches had the greatest attendance we have ever seen. My point to this is that even when we as a country or individuals walk away from God and His blessings He doesn't try to punish us to hurt us, but He does allow us to live life without Him and the consequences that go with it. I have come to know Him as a father who disciplines His kids because He wants the best for us and He refuses to stop fighting for us. That being said, I would like to address the current crisis we are in now. I do believe that as sickness and death are on the rise, division will also increase. This is a time when we may not agree with each other we do need to respect each others decisions. At this time we have everything from full quarantine to going wherever, whenever we want. My view on this is geared more towards the christian community because I believe we are called to set the standard on how to respond to this. For the people that are in full lock down mode I appreciate the sacrifice you are making to beat this thing as quickly as possible. For those that are going wherever, whenever I am a little envious of the freedom you have. My challenge to us all is to make sure we are all operating out of maturity and being honest with ourselves about our faith in God. For those in full lock down mode I would ask that protecting ourselves and family is high priority but continue to seek God and make sure there isn't something He is wanting to show you, teach you or challenge you with at this time.
For those that that are walking in complete freedom, against the advice of medical experts, I ask that you are realistic about your faith in God and not acting out of ignorance. My test for this would be that if you believe you have the faith to trust God in this are you willing to give up your spot at the doctors office, hospital, or possibly a ventilator for someone who has made the sacrifices or doesn't have the faith to fully trust God yet. My purpose in all of this is not to bring condemnation on anyone but to challenge each to judge ourselves first and be honest with where we are at in our walk with God. Lets not make decisions out of our fear or approval of people but out of our trusting God and allowing Him to show us the level of faith He wants us to walk in. I usually find my greatest peace in doing things that I believe I should do and then trusting God with what He can do. I believe in tithing, giving and saving my money but I also keep my money in a cash register at work verses let it set out on the counter top. I believe God can heal the sick and raise the dead but I still try to take care of myself and I don't volunteer to be a target at the gun range. I believe God can protect me and my family in any situation but I still lock my doors and wear my seat belt. My point to all this is that we all need to act on the level of faith we have not the level of faith someone else has. When this all started I could see where fear could start consuming me. I starting combating this by studying scripture on healing to build my faith and trust in God. As my faith is growing to trust God for my protection I am now trying to have the faith to believe for healing to anyone who comes into my business. These are challenging times and we have an awesome opportunity to see who God is and deepen our intimacy with Him. I would ask every believer to offset every minute you give to listening to facts about caronavirus, which I am not opposed to getting facts, you would spend two minutes in prayer or studying your bible to allow God to take you to a new place of faith or trust in Him. Giving my life to and following Jesus has been the best decision I have ever made. He has helped me appreciate the blessings I already had in my life as well as get me through the tough times in life but most of all He has showed me how valuable I am to Him and how to love myself so I no longer have to compare myself to anyone else. I hope this message brings Gods blessing into your life.
