Hi everyone! My name is Lolly, and I am now a part of the mid Atlantic German shepherd rescue family MAGSR.org. A lovely group rescued my sister and I from a high kill shelter in Tennessee that had a break out of distemper. Sadly my sister did not survive. I waited patiently for a rescue that would help me find a new, loving family. MAGSR stepped up and I made the long journey north via van transport. I arrived in Maryland amidst a snow and ice storm at the end of December. My new foster family picked me up and began to lavish me with love, cuddles, fur siblings and house routines. It was quickly discovered that I had been trying to chew my way out of the dog kennels and that my left hip was hurting me. MAGSR got me to the vet and unfortunately I had ruined 9 of my front teeth, they had to be pulled. An x ray showed significant degeneration issues with my left hip, so I am currently on some joint supplements and an anti inflamatory. My next stop is a visit to an orthopedic vet.
I am sharing all of this with you as I am very thankful for being rescued, and lucky that MAGSR is helping me with my needs. This non profit rescue is all volunteers, and donations have helped to pay for what I need so my foster family can continue to provide me with everything else. Despite all that has been going on, my foster parents tell me I am going to make some lucky family a fabulous pet! Please help myself and other dogs like me by donating or volunteering for MAGSR!
