FULL-TIME Service Technician needed to join our team. We work on a wide variety of passenger cars to medium duty trucks.

MUST have reliable transportation and a valid GA driver's license.

Hours are guaranteed Monday-Friday 8-5.
Off weekends and paid holidays.

The person we are looking for:

- MUST own a set of professional grade tools (including torque wrenches)
- Punctual, reliable, honest, and self motivated
- Can work by yourself but not afraid to ask for help
- Able to preform general diagnostics
- Must have at least 2+ years of automotive mechanic experience
- Must be able to change engines, transmissions, timing chain/belts, brakes, suspension, steering, tires

You do not have to know all vehicles just that you have prior knowledge/experience of most vehicles.

We are looking for someone who wants a long term career.

A good friend of ours bought this beautiful Cadillac CTS-V with a built engine and ported blower making a ton of power. He brought it in to install the drag wheel setup with a new pair of drag radials. Let's just say the new drag radials hook good. He broke the rear cv axle leaving the shop giving it alittle to much skinny pedal. We ordered in a new axle and got him on his way.

Check out this sick 2017 Ram 1500 that came to the shop. The customer dropped it off and thought he destroyed the rearend. We pulled the rear differential cover off and noticed that it just broke an axle shaft.

J&S Automotive and Diesel Repair is a small business in Gainesville, GA 30507.

Our automotive service center needs a reliable Automotive Technician to join our team. We operate one of the finest and most efficient repair shops in the city, and we require the utmost excellence of our devoted staff. Each Automotive Technician must have the experience necessary to provide our customers with optimum service. Most of our customers drive trucks, sport utility vehicles, and passenger vans, but we also see our fair share of sedans and coupes. We occasionally accept contract work for fleet vehicles, so knowledge of larger trucks will be helpful in this position.

Responsibilities:

*Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, battery installations, headlight/taillight installations, and timing components.
*Advance automotive tasks; front/rear differentials, motor swaps, transmission swaps, camshaft upgrades, aftermarket supercharger, and turbo kits, fuel system upgrades, suspension, exhaust
*Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
*Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
*Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety
*Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
*Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
*Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Requirements

2+ years of service technician experience
Confidence to work independently
Ability to operate all auto repair tools
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a must
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Must have your own professional-grade tools and toolbox
Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
