Our weekend comes to an end here in the semis, but we've got to emphasize how proud we are to see this rookie come to the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown class and keep up so quickly, racing right alongside drivers who have been doing this for years. Matt Hartman, well done. We appreciate each and every one of the great racers, families, and crew members we have the honor of working with, and we are absolutely looking forward to Norwalk! See you at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park, June 25-28.

Round one results:

David Janac was first off the line in his Janac Brothers Racing Cobra Jet and made his best run of the weekend, but it was Pawuk at the top end, 7.912 to 7.989.

Matt Hartman (in the Carrier Services Group COPO) and Doug Duell (in the DLD Motorsports Drag Pak) left nearly in step; Duell first by .002, and he went on to make his best run of the weekend, a 7.982, but young Hartman nipped him at the end with a 7.890 that nearly matched his qualifying best.

Lee Hartman and his Carrier Services Group Drag Pak launched on a cool .023, but Scott Libersher was able to get the win light on a 7.879 as Hartman got into trouble and slowed to an 11.293.

The second round of Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown eliminations is scheduled to take place between the first and second rounds of Pro racing on Sunday at Bristol Dragway. Matt Hartman will carry the torch for Stanfield Racing Engines into Sunday and is set to race Mark Pawuk.

See you on Sunday at Bristol Dragway, race fans!

Buckle up, it's time to go racing! The final round of qualifying set the field this morning here at the 25th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. Here's how it shook out for the Stanfield Racing Engines team and who they'll race in round one.

COPO vs. DRAG PAK
Class rookie Matt Hartman's 7.863, 174.80 sent him up to the No. 4 position in the patriotic red, white, and blue Carrier Services Group COPO Camaro that his dad drove to No. 1 here in 2023. The younger Hartman will race fellow Stanfield Racing Engines-powered competitor Doug Duell, who is starting No. 9 on an 8.018, 175.21 in his DLD Motorsports Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

DRAG PAK vs. COPO
Lee Hartman, starting seventh in his striking red and black Carrier Services Group Drag Pak, clocked a best time of 7.897, 175.73 to secure the No. 7 spot. He'll be squaring off with COPO driver Scott Libersher in the opening act.

COBRA JET vs. DRAG PAK
2024 Bristol Factory Stock winner and Cobra Jet Mustang pilot David Janac, No. 10 on an 8.021, 172.61 mph, is set to go toe-to-toe with reigning champ Mark Pawuk and his Drag Pak. Janac won this event in 2024

We'll be heading to the lanes directly after Pro qualifying concludes this evening to begin the trophy quest. Stay tuned!

Mother Nature played nice this evening, and she brought us a beautiful backdrop for the second round of qualifying under the lights at Bristol Dragway. The Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown cars were the last to go down the dragstrip tonight, and Lee Hartman's 7.914 was the best of the bunch for the Stanfield Racing Engines team. Lee and his Carrier Services Group Dodge Challenger Drag Pak landed the No. 5 spot, with Matt Hartman and the Hartman Racing red, white, and blue COPO No. 7 on a 7.962 at 172. 23. Doug Duell drove his DLD Motorsports Drag Pak to an 8.018 at 175.21 for the No. 9 spot, and David Janac and the Janac Brothers Racing Cobra Jet landed 10th with a best time of 8.026, 174.98 (recorded in the earlier session). Janac clocked an 8.125 in the later round.

Factory Stock Showdown is scheduled for one more round of qualifying late tomorrow morning here at the 25th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, and then we'll roll right into the first round of eliminations after Pro qualifying is complete. Hats off to all of our steady-handed drivers and crews out there today; the racing surface is new here at Bristol Dragway and took a beating with the rain, the air was hot and thick, and the day stretched long — but these dedicated racers stuck it out and came through with good numbers and solid data to lean into tomorrow. Rest up, the fun has only just begun!
