It was another great Petit LeMans and the Lanier Tech MVT program had 18 students adopted by teams and covered the GTP, LMP2, GTDPro and GTD classes as well as students in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, VP Challenge and MX5 Cup support series races. There were also more supporting Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta as well as supporting the SCCA looking after all of the corner workers. We even had one of our Alumni, Race Oliver, as a driver in the MX5 Cup! Between the students interning and the alumni already with teams, MVT was everywhere! 😋
Our Racecar Prep and Testing class got a tour of the Porsche Carrera Cup series on Thursday and 25 of our Intro to Motorsports students got to tour the paddock with private tours of the GM teams through the GM Driven By Us program on Friday and enjoyed the race on Saturday.
Two MVT students got to participate in the pre-race ceremonies where Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta awarded them the annual Steve Lanier Scholarships.

It was another great HSR Fall Historic event. We had 18 students adopted by teams and 22 Intro students show up for the "Friday Field Trip". Such an incredible variety of racecars and you get to see the entire evolution of the Porsche 911🙂 Thank you HSR!

In the middle of the racing season it's hard to keep track of all the alumni and their performance in the field but here's a couple of highlights from the last few weeks. ECR Racing with Anthony A, got its first podium finish in IndyCar. The Whelan Cadillac Prototype with Tanner won the 6 Hour race at Watkins Glen, Winward Racing won the IMSA GTD race in Canada with Seth and Tyler. OffLeash Motorsports won in their Intenational GT Porsche with Andrew and Raul, etc. etc......
