🚗🔧 Investing in the Future of Automotive Repair! 🔧🚗

We’re proud to have partnered with our local ROP as they pursued a $150,000 grant to expand opportunities in automotive education.

With the grant funding, two of our CCDC members, Scott & Jairo, were selected to develop and teach an Introduction to PicoScope Adult Education course. The 6-week, 48-hour course officially began this week, and the response has been incredible!

💥160 students enrolled with many Dealer Technicians.

This is the first attempt by our local ROP to enter the world of Adult Education, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where it goes.

Through partnerships like this, CCDC is helping improve the quality, knowledge, and competency of our local automotive repair industry. When experienced professionals have the opportunity to share their knowledge with the next generation of technicians, everyone benefits.

‼ This spring, the program will expand to another Adult Education campus in the City of Kerman, CA, located at its high school campus about 15 miles west of the shop. This will provide even more access to quality automotive education for students and technicians in our surrounding rural communities.

Students who successfully complete the coursework will earn a PicoScope Certificate.
More education. More skilled technicians. A stronger automotive repair industry.
That’s something worth investing in!

Hello Again to All! Do you know that annoying "Low Tire Pressure" amber warning light "On" in the Instrument Cluster? This is what those Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors (TPMS) look like and where they live inside the tire. These sensors are battery powered and need to be replaced occasionally.

They send Radio Frequency Waves to a module inside the car. Usually, the Spare Tire is not equipped with a TPMS. That is why the warning light illuminates when the spare tire is installed.

When diagnosing this truck, I inflated all four tires to their correct air pressure and connected my scanner. Only the right rear tire displayed the correct air pressure. The other three sensors read 147.7 psi. That is the default value. When I separated the tire from the wheel, all three sensors were missing. Someone removed them and installed pre 2008 valve stems. That is the one on the left. (See Pict). No wonder the TPMS light was illuminated.

We installed & learned three new sensors and all returned to functioning as designed. At Complete Car Care, we have the training and equipment to successfully perform this repair on most vehicles.

Hello, Complete Car Care friends and soon-to-be friends.⭐Complete Car Care has officially become an APPROVED California Cool Air Rebate (CAR) Station.⭐

The CAR Program will pay up to 90% of approved Air Conditioning diagnostic & repair costs to fix a LEAKING AC System.
(Maximum reimbursement is $1500). If your vehicle's vent air is not as cold as it used to be, your AC system may have a freon leak.

Three-step process.
1) Just go online and visit CoolAirRebate.org and answer 5 simple questions. (I did this, and the questions are extremely simple.)
Fill out a CAR application.
2) The Cool Air Rebate Team will send you a Confirmation Letter if you qualify.
3) Bring your vehicle and Confirmation Letter to Complete Car Care for an Air Conditioning Leak Detection Diagnostic.

Our leak detection process uses compressed CO2 gas. CO2 is a smaller molecule than R134a, so a small R134a leak is a larger CO2 leak. That makes it easier to detect smaller leaks. We recover the R134a freon and add compressed CO2 at 160 psi and sniff.
Our CO2 leak detection technology is the same technology used to find leaks in underwater scuba diving tanks.

Please call 559-275-0157 today and schedule your appointment.

The California CAR Program will pay 90% of Vehicle Air Condition R134a Refrigerant LEAK repairs up to $1500. If your vehicle's Air Conditioning, over time, is not as cold as it used to be, your AC System may be low on R134a refrigerant due to a leak. We may be able to help with that. The Program is designed to decrease R134a refrigerant escaping into the atmosphere.

Hello again to all my Complete Car Care friends and soon-to-be friends.
This is an Evaporator Core from a Ford pickup HVAC System (Heating/Ventilation/ Air Condition) we removed last week.
How in heck can mud collect in an EVAP Core located inside the truck's cab, enclosed in a plastic case, just behind the Glove Box?? I'm glad you asked.
But first, this failure is what the Cabin Air Filture is designed to prevent. My advice is, REPLACE your filter as a regular part of your car and truck maintenance/oil change, so an EVAP Core replacement will not be a part of your future.
This truck is a Grounds Maintenance truck for the school district. It lives in a dusty environment. Sometimes there is a lot of dust generated during lawn mowing, ect, and the school district has some very large lawns to mow.
Here is how we make mud in the EVAP Core.
First; When low pressure AC refrigerant passes through this core, it gets very cold. The HVAC Blower motor pushes Air through the core and cools the air on its way through the AC Ducting and out the vents into the passenger compartment. Just as a cup of cold soda in the summertime forms condensation on its outer skin, this EVAP Core also forms condensation on its outer skin. The condensation drains through a drain tube, usually located just in front of the passenger's feet. In the summer, with the AC "On", you can see the drained condensation puddle up on the ground just below the passenger's feet. Now that we have liquid, we just need some dirt.
Second; Look just below the windshield of your vehicle, and you will see a row of louvers. This is where "Fresh Air" enters the HVAC System. If the air is dusty, that dust collects inside the HVAC System & Ducting. A little condensation and a little dust, and you have mud. When the mud hardens, the air flow through the EVAP Core is restricted, and therefore, the air flow through the AC Vents is decreased and not cold.
Again, the prevention is to replace your Cabin Air Filters on a regular basis, especially in dusty environments.
Hope this helps.
