BACK BY REQUEST: THE ABZ FLYWHEEL INSERT IS BACK!

Some parts are simply too useful to let disappear. The 034Motorsport Flywheel Insert for Audi ABZ V8 engines is back as part of the 034Tradition program, revived by popular demand from the Audi community.

034Tradition is our ongoing effort to bring back discontinued and hard-to-find parts for vintage Audis, including OEM-style components no longer available anywhere else. Have another vintage Audi part you’d love to see us bring back? Drop your requests in the comments below.

This Flywheel Insert allows a compatible factory automatic flex plate to be adapted for use with a manual transmission, while retaining the factory starter ring gear and 60-2 trigger wheel. CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminum with a steel friction surface, it’s designed for use with UrS4/S6 clutch kits and 01A/01E transmissions.

We found the breaking point, so your charge pipe doesn’t have to.

During our high-boost development with our B9 RS5 Development Car, we found the limit of the factory charge pipe construction. At extreme boost pressures, the thin, brazed steel flanges at the turbo outlets can deform, creating boost leaks and potentially robbing serious power.

Rather than replace the entire charge pipe with a more expensive solution that offers no additional performance benefit, we’ve designed and engineered a smarter, more cost-effective fix.

The new 034Motorsport Charge Pipe Clam Sheel Reinforcement Kit adds CNC-machined, 10mm-thick 304 stainless steel clamsheels around the factory flanges, reinforcing the joint against flex and cracking. Tested to hold up to 40+ PSI of charge pressure, it’s designed as preventative insurance for Tuned Audi & Porsche EA839 2.9T V6 engines.
