A new player has joined the game. 2022 Thruxton RS Ton Up Edition with the very hard to find Aegean Blue fairing.
One day wasn’t much, but just from the spare parts pile alone, much change was had in 24 hours. Pic one - Sunday after a few hours of parts installs, pics two and three - Test riding at Hermy’s Triumph in Port Clinton, PA before purchasing.
Always wanted one of these Ton Up Edition bikes with the fairing. I can see why these weren’t as popular and had a negative reception without the fairing. The blue fuel tank alone just didn’t make much sense with the white cowl and fender. Add the fairing and suddenly there is balance.
Other than new exhaust, everything else should be supplied entirely just from spare parts from other builds.
New full exhaust, air filter, SAI delete, chain, low OEM clip-ons on the way.
Really loving the silver wheels, carbon and Corbin seat from the spare parts pile finding a new home and transforming the bike so immediately. Over the next few weeks there will be a shuffling of wheels between previous builds as we focus the overall theme for a few bikes. This Ton Up will not be keeping these Thruxton R wheels, but will be moving to brushed Kineos.
It’s gonna be fun!
