As we enjoy the final long weekend of summer, we want to remind everyone to take a little extra care on the road. More travelers, celebrations, construction zones, motorcycles and pedestrians mean staying alert behind the wheel is especially important.

🍺 If you drink, plan a safe ride home.
⏱️ Give yourself a little extra time and don’t rush.
👀 Watch carefully for motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians.

🚗👶 FREE CAR SEAT SAFETY CHECK – TROY! 👶🚗

Is your child’s car seat installed correctly? Are you sure they’re riding in the right seat for their age and size?

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available for a FREE Car Seat Safety Check Event at Children’s Hospital of Michigan – Troy!

No appointment is necessary — just stop by! Your child and vehicle must be present, and a limited number of replacement car seats will also be available for families who qualify/need them.

The Traffic Safety Association of Macomb County is seeking dependable, outgoing Community Health Presenters to join our team!

Our presenters travel to local middle and high schools throughout the area to provide engaging prevention and health education to students.

Position Highlights:
• Starting pay: $25/hour
• Plenty of potential for advancement
• 20–40 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Work independently in local schools
• Meaningful work educating and empowering young people

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups
• Great at connecting with middle and high school students
• Able to pass required background and drug screening
• Passionate about prevention education and making a positive impact in the Community.

Previous teaching, public speaking, youth work, prevention, health education, or similar experience is a plus!
