Recently picked up a turbo Buick Rainer. It had an issue with overheating so we naturally replaced the old stock radiator with a Cold-Case all aluminum one. We were still running into overheating issue at idle. Turned out it was a tuning/vacuum issue. It was pulling timing at idle to lower the idle causing excessive heat in the engine bay. Now it is on the dyno with so baseline numbers, be ready see this hit some real numbers this week.

Then it was time to make the hood fit, clean her up a bit, change diff fluid, decided I wanted a straight pipe option because why not, and took a quick 291 ft trip threw Mexico before letting off. Gotta do it once I a while...

And there's the final product for the moment. About 10 psi got us 475 hp and 526 ft-lbs torque. Unfortunately all I could afford at this time was a junkyard 4l60e that we knew wouldn't last long so we're keeping the power down till I can afford a built unit. But held up surprisingly well for a while. Not sure if 3.73 gears and mini spool on the factory 31 spline axles helped though... haha

Needed to let as much air in as possible so drilled holes in the bumper for extra air flow to the transmission cooler. Rad is backed by two 13" Spal puller fans and relay kits tied into the computer for signal. And Pigeon, one of the many shop cats, helping watch out for critters.

Here's some of the work we've been up to that just haven't gotten around to posting. This is a 1991 Ford Crown Victoria that I've had sitting behind the barn for about 8 years and decided needed to be put back on the road. Unfortunately didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have but you'll get the gist of it. This is from the beginning making sure everything fit where it needed to, clearancing the front crossmember to accommodate the oil pan and modifying the transmission crossmember to fit.
