I've been warning people about CVT transmissions and especially Nissans for a decade. That's why my Civic has a manual gearbox with real metal gears since after 2012 to 2014, pretty much all vehicles started using those trash CVTs.

This right here is exactly why other mechanics p**s me off. Also why I became a mechanic myself..........because I just don't trust a-hole mechanics!!!!! My customer needed her spark plugs changed on a 4 Cylinder Dodge Journey. I was too far away and she couldn't make it to me so she went to a shop near where she lives. They charged her $455 to change her plugs........ ON A FREAKIN 4 CYLINDER!!!! I'm not even talking about a 4 Cylinder like some Nissan cars where there is stuff on top of the plugs. You literally open the hood and the coils and plugs are RIGHT THERE!!!!! It's like a 20 to 30 minute job MAX!!!!! Plugs ate about $12 each!!!! There even charged her an additional $12 disposal fee. A FEE??? A FEE TO THROW THE OLD PLUGS IN THE GARBAGE?!?!?! DAFUQ?!?!?! I'm so mad FOR her!!!! People....... Just a heads up. Please use the super computer in your pocket to look up labor charges to do work on your car. Whatever the job is, just hit the microphone for Google and ask it how much the labor charge should be for a repair on your year, Make and model of your car!!! Unbelievable!!! 🤬🤬🤬
