Meet Laguna Seca. 💙🩵💙
She's tiny. She's beautiful. She's slightly dramatic. Which means she fits in perfectly around here.
I've had way too much fun setting up her little home, and honestly, watching her explore her new tank has been the best part of my week.
She's already become part of the family. In fact, on her very first day, she joined us for lunch at The Mexican Inn. We couldn't bear the thought of leaving our newest employee in the Texas heat while we enjoyed coconut margaritas, so “Seca” got her very own seat at the table. 🍹🐟
The waiter didn't even blink. Which tells me we're not the strangest people he’s met.

Some cars get restored.
Some get rescued. 🤍
“Betty White” spent years buried under boxes, quiet and forgotten, just waiting for somebody to see her again. A little white ‘91 Miata with too much personality to fade away for good. So we pulled her out, woke her up, gave her back her spark — and somewhere along the way, she found her forever person.
The first time we watched Carola drive her, we knew.
That wasn’t just a test drive.
That was going to be her Miata.
Her golden girl. ✨
And honestly? Betty fits her perfectly — cute, clever, classy, a tiny bit dramatic, and absolutely unstoppable.
Around here, Miata’s become family. And the best part of this whole crazy little hobby is the people it gives us along the way.
So to Carola:

Huge shoutout to our friends over at AWR Racing for helping us make this year’s Track Dog Racing block party even more fun. 🐾🏁
They hooked us up with some awesome AWR stickers that will be going into the swag bags for the first 50 people through the gate — plus some killer air freshies that’ll be included in our car show prize packs.
This community has always been about more than just cars. It’s the people, the friendships, the companies that still believe in supporting grassroots events and the weird little car families we’ve all built along the way.
So when you see the AWR crew online, show them some love. They’ve been supporting this community for a long time, and we’re grateful to have them be part of ours. ❤️

Today we honor and remember those who gave everything in service to our country.
Because of their sacrifice, we get to spend our days in garages, at tracks, on open roads, and chasing the things that make us feel alive. That freedom is never something we take for granted.

I need to stock up on some brakes for the shop. For Miata customers, a lot of people are still really happy with Hawk depending on how they use the car, but there are definitely a few standouts lately.
For street/performance dual-use, our customers seem to love:
Hawk HPS 5.0
Great bite without being obnoxious. Low dust compared to older Hawk compounds. Solid daily + spirited canyon/run setup.
Hawk HP+
Still popular with autocross and aggressive drivers, but customers complain more now about noise and dust. Amazing bite though.
