There comes a moment in life when the people you’ve helped guide, support, and grow are called to step into a new season of their own. While it is never easy to let go, there is also pride in watching someone spread their wings and chase the future ahead of them.
Some people come into a workplace and simply do a job. Others leave a mark on the people around them that lasts forever. Over the last 10 years, Kelcie Hathcock became one of those people for all of us at Suncoast.
If you’ve watched our videos, visited our booth, picked up a catalog, received a temporary tattoo, or stopped by one of our events for popcorn or cotton candy — then you’ve experienced Kelcie’s creativity, passion, and heart firsthand. So much of what people know and love about Suncoast carries her fingerprints.
It is with both heavy hearts and proud smiles that we say goodbye as Kelcie begins the next chapter of her professional career.
After graduating from Troy University in Alabama in 2013, Kelcie joined the Suncoast family in 2015. Over the years, she became far more than our Director of Marketing. She became part of the heartbeat of this company. Her leadership, loyalty, creativity, and ability to bring people together helped shape not only our brand, but also our culture and our family.
We will miss the laughs, the cookouts, the dinners, the late nights, the event chaos, and the countless memories made along the way. Most of all, we will miss seeing Kelcie every day.
As a family business, the lines between coworkers and family often blur — and that has always been true with her. Watching Kelcie grow over the last decade has been incredibly special for all of us. In many ways, this goodbye feels less like losing an employee and more like watching a family member spread their wings and begin an exciting new chapter in life.
While it is difficult to imagine Suncoast without her, we could not be more proud of the person and professional she has become.
Kelcie, thank you for every idea, every sacrifice, every relationship, and every moment you poured into this company over the last 10 years. Your impact here will never be forgotten, and your place in the Suncoast family will always remain.
