We’ve all been there: distant, drifting, disconnected from God, moving away from Him instead of moving toward Him. We get distracted by so many different things that fight for our attention. But we can choose to return to God and get to know Him better. We have the choice to either stay disconnected from Him or to draw closer.

We’ll look at eight different spiritual disciplines that will help us do just that—help us be Closer.

Guess what! Disciples make disciples. They are leaders of others and ultimately lead others to Jesus. Continue to grow closer to Jesus. Ask Him to help you see others the way He sees others & pray that He will open up doors into their lives. We love you guys—emerge into God's heart for the world.

• Back-to-School Block Party is next Wednesday from 6:30—8pm! We will be introducing Senior Soak Day, as well as enjoy good food, friends, games, & a great way to kick off the school year on the right foot. This is the perfect time & place to invite a friend. Avoid that awkward face-to-face meeting with your friend from school that you never got to connect with over the summer, call & invite them before school starts!

In Christian circles we throw the word disciple around all the time. But do we really understand what that means? What does a disciple of Christ really look like in today’s world? How should they live and interact with the world around them? In the series DISCIPLE, We are discovering what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ within the context of the world we live in today.

Had a blast tonight bowling & playing LaserTag with everyone at HeadPinz! And thanks for coming...altogether, there were 49 of us!

We'll see all of you next week at emerge. We start "Disciple" next Wednesday @ 7pm, but come early to hang out with friends, play basketball, Xbox, ping pong, corn hole, etc...doors open @ 5:30!

Even though we don't think about it a lot, it's important: the supernatural.

In week two, we helped students realize that we know the outcome of this spiritual battle; we know the end of the story, and God’s side wins! Jesus has overcome all things in this world, and we can live free from whatever tries to hold us down.
