🧭⛵ HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY FROM ORANGE HARBOR! 🍊🌴

They say Christopher Columbus set sail looking for a new world… but we’re pretty sure if he had discovered Orange Harbor, he would’ve dropped anchor and called it a day. 😂⚓

Just imagine what he would have found:

🚤 Two boat ramps — “Finally! Somewhere to park the ships!”
🎣 Fishing right outside his door
🏊 A heated pool — much better than swimming in the Atlantic
🏓 Pickleball — although explaining the rules might take awhile
🍹 Happy Hour — “Wait… you do this EVERY week?”
🌅 Waterfront sunsets worth crossing an ocean for
🎉 Parties, activities and entertainment
🤝 And neighbors who would’ve welcomed the whole crew!

After months at sea, Columbus probably would’ve taken one look around and said:

“Tell Spain I’m not coming back. I found Orange Harbor.” 😂🌴⛵

Thankfully, you don’t need three ships or a voyage across the Atlantic to find us.

🍂 Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Orange Harbor 🍂

Today, we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day and honor the history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Here in Southwest Florida, we also remember the Calusa, the Indigenous people who lived throughout this region for centuries and built communities closely connected to the rivers, estuaries, and coastal waters that still define the Fort Myers area today. 🌊

Living along these beautiful waterways gives us an opportunity to appreciate not only their natural beauty, but also the generations of people who called this region home long before us.

Today, Orange Harbor Mobile Home & RV Resort honors the Calusa and Indigenous peoples throughout our country—their history, their cultures, and their enduring legacy. ❤️

🍊☀️ THE UNOFFICIAL WINTER SEASON IS STARTING AT ORANGE HARBOR! 🌴

October has arrived, and while the temperatures up north are starting to drop, things are just heating up at Orange Harbor Mobile Home & RV Resort! 😎

Our calendar is filling up and so are the tables! 🃏🎲 Each week brings Euchre, special Friday night card games, Hand Knee Foot, and Dominoes, plus Bingo and Dingo every other week. And don’t forget to bring your appetite—our special breakfasts are served twice a month! 🍳☕

🎃 And because October wouldn’t be complete without a little Halloween fun, we’re planning a Costume Contest followed by a party and DJ! 👻💃🕺 Start working on those costumes now—we have a feeling there may be some competition! 😂

This is just the beginning. As our snowbirds start arriving and familiar faces return, Orange Harbor comes alive again with activities, laughter, friendships and plenty of Florida sunshine. ❤️

Four years ago, Hurricane Ian changed our community forever. In a matter of hours, homes, businesses, neighborhoods, and lives were turned upside down.

But Ian also showed us what community truly means.

We survived. We stood beside one another. We cleaned up together, rebuilt together, supported our neighbors, and kept moving forward—even when the road ahead seemed overwhelming.

Brick by brick, day by day, we built it back together. ❤️

Our community today is a testament to the resilience, determination, passion, and strength of the people who call it home. It wasn’t just about rebuilding buildings—it was about rebuilding lives, restoring hope, and reminding each other that none of us had to do it alone.

Four years later, we remember what we lost, honor how far we’ve come, and remain grateful for every person who stepped up to help.

Resilience. Working together. Passion. That’s what makes a community. And that’s what brought ours back. ❤️
