🫠 Man oh Man!! 🫪

I just felt like this was never going to get done . This was a job that was a 1 step forward 2 steps back... But none of us are to know what's in store until we dig in..

🗣️ Customer had talked with me after I helped his daughter with a radiator. Said he had another mechanic he used for years. Said he helped with multiple projects on his vehicles but he wasn't the best. Asked me if I wanted to dig into his ac, told me it's not going to be just straight forward as just a simple part swap. It was gunna be a task..

😶 HE WASNT WRONG!!!🫠

After spending three different days out, getting parts ordered , Flushing the AC and replacing components to get the air conditioning to be pristine, we had finally gotten it!!

❄️ A/C Blowing Hot Air... or the Wrong Temperature? ❄️

Not every air conditioning problem is caused by low refrigerant! Acommon issue we see is a failed blend door actuator.

When these small motors fail, you may notice:

✅ Hot air from one side and cold air from the other
✅ Temperature won't change when you adjust the
controls
✅ Clicking or knocking noises behind the dash
✅ Air that stays hot even though the A/C system is
fully charged

Before spending money on unnecessary refrigerant or parts, have your system properly diagnosed.

😀Well here's some facts about this part...

✅It holds the majority of the engines coolant
✅Some of them can keep your transmission
cool.
✅Some have caps to close them, or expansion
tanks
✅ Everyone has a minimum of two hoses attached
✅ An average vehicle that has one will hold about 2
to 4 gallons of coolant in them!

👉Well this doesn't happen often...

When this customer reached out to me I misunderstood what had actually happened to this Promaster van. From my understanding what happened was that the van had bottomed out on the oil pan.

🤔 So taking a peak and getting more information from the customer I found it to be different then I understood.
