Ten Years and Counting
The story of Handsome Hand is an artist’s journey. It’s not only a decade in the making but it is constantly evolving. We began on an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea; marinated in kitchens and coffee shops along the east coast of the United States; grew teeth in New York City and eyes in Detroit; then emerged in New Orleans with a realization akin to “maybe I can make a living as an artist after all...”
Our current embodiment is a storefront on Main St. in Fort Jones, a small ranching settlement on your way to the most remote parts of California. As we make right with Uncle Sam and adjust to a rural lifestyle, visions of small town revitalization emerge and the desire to help mend class disparity is stronger than ever...
