Got the inner fenders of the Jeepster nose painted and just about ready to go back on. Had some bad pits from rust. So had to spot blast,epoxy,sand,fill pinholes,epoxy AGAIN,sand AGAIN and then paint.

Well, floor is all done. Had to get a half floor and make my own toe board as none are actually available. Just cut to size and roll a step like the factory. All seam sealed, scaled, scraped, wire brushed and painted with bedliner out of a spray can. On to fixing the cowl next.

I’ll keep saying it….STOP WASTING PEOPLES HARD EARNED MONEY! If something is outside of your skill set, there’s no shame...

I’ll keep saying it….STOP WASTING PEOPLES HARD EARNED MONEY! If something is outside of your skill set, there’s no shame in passing on a job. Absolutely atrocious floor pan “replacement”. Left behind rotted, rusty metal and just tacked in everywhere. No seat pans, no drivers seatbelt anchor, welded over passenger seatbelt anchor,lapped over anywhere from 4-10 inches and also found a nice little surprise behind the dash once removed. Doing a new one piece floor as it’s the only CORRECT way to do it.

As a hot rodder, you just assume nothing will actually fit. And that is precisely how everything on this jeep has gone. The latest kick in the teeth is the rear disc conversion. Apparently nothing fits the Dana 30 rear. So what do you do now? Like everything else, make it work! Had to redrill bracket to fit. Made a spacer to take up for the missing drum brake backing plate so the seal will not crash into the bearing. And notched the bracket to clear the seal cover. All good now! Time to take everything apart, make it nicey nice and slap it back together. Oh yeah…. Engines back in!!
