There was a dream...
To create a home...
For the phony fast & the ridiculously passionate...
And the dream became a reality...
For the past 10years (well almost)...
We were able to become synonymous with the words "Radio Controlled" in out hobby/sport. Some did it for the fame and glory...
Others did it to escape the hardships of everyday

life...
(Few just wanted to do backflips...) But all did it 1 lap at a time...
Always 1 lap at a time...
The name Flowood RC was know nationwide
For those of us who... understood its impact, we proudly wore the FRC shield on our backs...
And when the uninitiated asked, "What is FRC?" We smiled. And offered an open invitation... to experience the madness that is RC RACING!!! But now, this remarkable chapter is at its end...
Like so others FRC will soon only exist in the memories and hearts of the community that called this place "our home track." NATION. Snd we are truly saddened to see it go. So as we say our goodbyes...
And dry our eyes...

The Joe's,
The weekend warrior's ages 9 to 99 years old,
Moms and Dads,
Son and Daughters,
Late arrivals and early birds,

And (of course) the countless volunteers and volun-tolds,

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Marcus "Pops" Beck — a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle to us all, as he'd say, "just with less hair!"

The best way I can describe Pops is as a storyteller. My God... the hours we talked and laughed echoed through the building. He brought wisdom, warmth, and a steady, hard-working hand—always with a smile and often with a tale that somehow blended truth, exaggeration, and heart.

We are all heartbroken by this loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Marc, Matt, the rest of the family, loved ones, and his R/C family. In the coming days, we’ll share details about a celebration of life and how we can come together to honor his memory.

Rest easy, Pops.
We’ll race again someday...
