Weโve been asked a few times about how the track made it out, and all things considered not nearly as bad as we had feared when we woke up Saturday morning to survey the destruction in our community. However, we think itโs best to postpone the Legacy Championship and look at November, same purses, same formatโฆ just gives us and the Tri County Area time to adjust and heal before we take off again.
We have crews on the grounds working their butts off to get the ship back right, TJ Grimes, Parker Bell, Tommy Pickern and his crew, Shannon Yoder of Air Refrigeration in Brewton are all hard at work and we want to recognize them and thank them for their efforts. Roofs are almost finished in the sky box area, and the tower is next. Weโd also like to thank Wesley Hoomes for the aerial views.
Stay tuned in the days to come for a make up date, weโve been extremely blessed by the outpouring of love weโve witnessed here in central Escambia County, neighbors helping one another, and families putting pieces back together again. The Glory alone is Godโs, we thank him for His mighty hand of protection over the people of Santa Rosa, the Escambias and Conecuh Counties.
Jimmy Buffett said it best, โIf a hurricane doesnโt leave you dead, it will make you strong. Donโt try to explain it, just bow your head. Breathe in, breathe out, move on.โ
Never stop moving TCS family, even when it feels like you canโt go no more. Pick your head up, and take it one day at time, bit by bit weโll be okay.
