Position Overview: Responsible for removing drivetrain and misc. parts from wrecked vehicles, inspecting automotive parts and preparing parts for shipping. Required to perform other related tasks requested by supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
• Properly operate lifts, fork lifts, torches, power wrenches, automotive lifts, crane, etc.
• Ability to move vehicles without damaging the vehicle, other vehicles or personnel
• Ability to remove body and mechanical parts without damage to part, self or others
• Verify quality of parts being pulled so they meet or exceed company standards
• Ability to accurately assess condition of questionable parts and of those to be pulled
• Insure that part sold matches the description listed on the work order or invoice
• Insure parts are taken to the shipping area and placed so that no additional damage can occur
• Accurately complete Dismantling Report
• Expected to follow company policies as outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook
• Follow all safety regulations
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by supervision
• Maintain acceptable attendance standards, including being on time
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• General mechanical and automotive knowledge
• Must pass drug test
• Your own set of tools for parts removal such as air impact and electric impact wrenches, sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, etc.
