En 1946, Herb Lewis, era un banquero del First National Bank en Fayetteville, Arkansas, y decidió hacer una inversión que transformaría la forma de comprar vehículos en Fayetteville. La primera distribuidora de autos que abrió estaba ubicada en Mountain Street, esta ofrecía solo seis vehículos en su inventario, ahora, 67 años después, el nombre Lewis sigue aún creciendo fuertemente.
