There's DUI, DWI, DWUI, OVI, BWI, and we're happy to add a new acronym to the mix DWT. Driving While Texting. There are times when TWD-ing can cause the same catastrophic events as a DUI and more studies are begining to show that it can even be catagorized as worse. Take a moment to consider that the average car trip is generally between three to twelve miles, in the time that it would take a person to become distracted (swerve to miss traffic, slow down in an attempt to compensate, or even get into a wreck, etc) while driving, they could have reached their destination. Twice.

During a thunderstorm it is safest to stay in your car when it is lightning. If you have to pull over, do so in an open area away from trees.
