$70k truck with $0 protection?
As the kids say… the math isn’t mathing. Unfortunately, factory coatings often leave vulnerable areas exposed without owners even realizing it, especially inside frame channels, seams, welds, cab corners, and other areas where moisture and salt love to collect.

This truck first came to us two years ago for our semi-permanent Boss Wax Hybrid undercoating, and today we're back for its scheduled touch-up.

What you’re seeing here is BEFORE the touch-up was performed.

Aside from a few spots on the frame where lift arms made contact over the last two years, the underside still looks phenomenal, exactly what you want to see, but rarely do, on a truck that endures Maine winters.

As we do with every Boss Wax touch-up, we:
✔ Re-coat the inner frame channels
✔ Inspect vulnerable areas
✔ Address any exposed spots

Because rust rarely starts where you can easily see it.

One thing we wanted to simplify with this program was the maintenance side of ownership. Undercoating in Maine should never be a set it and forget it coating. To keep the Boss Wax warranty active, touch-ups are required every two years, but instead of charging based on condition, we keep it simple with a flat $100 touch-up rate. No guessing. No surprise invoices. Just long-term protection and predictable maintenance.

A proper undercoating starts long before the product is ever applied. Included in every application is the prep work, because without it, the job is lackluster at best.

Similar to taping trim before painting, preparation matters. We fully descale the underside of the vehicle, blow out dirt and debris, and when those rusty Chevy frames give us a reason to, we break out the needle gun too, all before the application even begins.

We don’t believe in “prep work add-ons.” It’s part of doing the job correctly.

While we’re obviously coating the frame, we’re also treating the areas that commonly rust first:

✔ Cab corners
✔ Doors
✔ Tailgates
✔ Hoods
✔ Rear hatches
✔ And more

We appreciate our loyal customers who come to us year after year. The quality application and product is what keeps this customer coming back, last years coating is still holding strong. That’s exactly what you want to see: protection that sticks, creeps, and keeps doing its job.

As temps rise, road salt mixes with moisture and works its way into every seam and crevice. That’s when corrosion accelerates, and that’s what we’ve been dealing with the last month.

A quick tip: skip undercarriage washes. High-pressure, recycled water can push salt deeper into your frame, doing more harm than good. Get your vehicle undercoated and let our product do its job, it’ll handle the salt and you’ll save a few dollars at the car wash.

Spring is underway, and while undercoating isn’t always top of mind this time of year, it should be.
