Killer grid heater nut was ready to drop on this 2017 Cummins!

Customer recently purchased this truck, and brought it straight to us for some needed maintenance and to do a BD killer grid heater kit on it. He did not know how close he was to certain doom however!

Customer had his intake tube collapse last week on him ( see the recent post about cheap air filters ) and while he waited for a new S&B Filters intake to show up he got creative and glued a couple of fiberglass rods to the tube creating a spine to avoid it collapsing again on him.

MacGyver would be proud!

Not all filters are created equal!!

PSA if you own a Cummins yall stop buying these cheap micro guard air filters from oreillys or similar filters from the other parts stores! This one was maybe a month old, and even tho it's a little dirty ( truck lives on dirt roads and job sites) this still shouldn't have happened. This is the 4th one we've seen in the last month alone. Mopar factory filters are cheaper than blown turbos!
