Through continuing our education in our industry, we are qualified to become a recommended repair facility by many of our vendors, and better serve our customers. The following is a list of our certifications:
• Rhode Island State Inspection Station, #149 - Certification requires successful completion of RI State Inspection courses; must be awarded a limited license to run inspection station

A Certified Repair Facility - Certification requires a constant customer satisfaction rating of 97% or higher and a clean record with the Better Business Bureau
• NAPA Auto Care Center - Certification requires employment of ASE-Certified technicians and a clean record with the Better Business Bureau
• North American Towing Certified, Florida - Certification requires successful completion of towing courses offered through the North American Towing Academy
• Wreckmaster Certified, New Jersey - Certification requires successful completion of towing courses offered through Wreckmaster
Aside from our repair business, Slater’s Exeter Auto Repair takes pride in being a strong part of our community. Our community involvement includes the following:
• Rhode Island Future Farmers of America, Tractor Restoration Project - The Tractor Restoration Project is part of a national competition sponsored by Delo Tractor, a division of Chevron Oil. Each year, local FFA students restore an antique tractor and enter it into a national raffle. This program allows students to learn the mechanics of tractor restoration, as well as teamwork and responsibility.
• Exeter-West Greenwich High School - EWG High School has a program as part of their regular schooling to help students who need guidance through their high school career. As part of this program, one of the students from the school has been placed at our facility to learn about the automotive industry. The student spends two days a week shadowing a technician and learning their job, helping to determine if this industry sparks their interest.
• Southern Rhode Island Collaborative Education and Training Center - SORICO is a state agency that works with school districts in Southern Rhode Island to help student achievement through placements in entrepreneurial settings, and is similar to the program at EWG High School.
• Bridges, Inc. - Bridges is a human services program that allows people with developmental disabilities to live normal lives. As part of this program, we have an employee who comes from a Bridges home and works for our facility. This employee works with us two days a week to learn how to be a productive member of his community as well.
