Buying a used car soon? One of our service guys has one piece of advice for you, and it's the thing most people skip. 🔧

We put him on camera and asked three questions. His answers sum up how we run the shop here.

The win he's still proud of:
Getting repairs covered under warranty when the customer figured they were out of luck. Even when they didn't buy the car from us and we'd never worked with that warranty company before. We make the calls.

What we can do that a big store can't:
Get your vehicle back to you faster. The big dealerships overload their shops, and your truck sits there for weeks. We keep things moving so you're not stuck waiting.

The question he wishes more people asked:
Ask about the extended warranty before you sign on a used vehicle. Turning it down and then coming in mad at the repair bill later helps nobody.

Escape owners, this one's for you. 🙌

We asked one of our salesmen the worst vehicle he's ever loved. He didn't hesitate. The Ford Escape.

People give it a hard time. He says it's the best car he's ever owned.

Quiet. Well insulated. Smooth drive. A tech package that gives you everything you need. His words, and he'll shout them from the mountaintops.

He had one more take we liked. Selling cars isn't the hard part. Knowing people and actually helping them is the job. The hard part is keeping up with the tech, because it changes every year.

Nervous about walking into a dealership? Ricky gets it.

Our sales manager has heard it for years. Most of the time it comes down to one thing: people don't want anyone poking through their credit or their finances.

Here's the honest answer. 🤝
The sales floor isn't the one looking at that. Finance handles it, separately, and nobody here is digging into your background story.

Delivery day for this Mustang GTD. 🏁

This one went to Andy B. We met him in Troy, Michigan to hand over the keys, and from there it heads to Icon Motorsports for a wrap before it settles in at home in California.

Not every day one of these rolls through, and we don't take it for granted. Thanks for trusting our family with yours, Andy. Enjoy every mile!

We didn't shoot the whole vehicle for this one on purpose. The badge says enough.

Fall is settling in around Excelsior Springs, and the roads out here were made for something with a little more go. 🍂

A customer in Utah FaceTimed Ricky at 9:15 at night. He wasn't mad about it. 📱

We put a mic on Ricky Baird in the showroom and asked him about the moments that stick.

First vehicle he ever sold: a gas F-250 SuperCab XLT. 🛻

Best delivery? He'll tell you they're all the best. Customer goes home happy, one more car off the lot.

But one is up there.

A fire investigator out west called in about a Shelby GT350. Ricky showed him the car, got it out to him, and that night his phone lit up.

"Hey, I got my Mustang."

Two time zones away, never shook hands, still one of the best calls he's ever taken. 💙

Chuck put it up there back in 1974 when our family bought this store and moved to Excelsior Springs.

Fifty-plus years later, it's still our name, still our family, still the same front door on Jesse James Road.

We're not the biggest Ford store around Kansas City. We've never tried to be.

We'd rather be the one your parents sent you to, and the one you'll send your kids to. 🔵

Sales, service, Quick Lane, parts. All under that sign.
