Congratulations goes out to Brandon Fuller and his 1964 ½ mustang coupe for being October’s Mustang of the Month!
Brandon purchased this fixer-upper from his high school sweetheart this past April. He called Mid Cities Mustang and got on the waiting list to get her running and focus on the mechanicals. His focus was to make “Scarlet” safe and reliable. Scarlet, unfortunately, sat at a field/house in East Texas for nearly 18 years since her last registration and needed quite a bit of love.
Mid Cities got to work on new brakes, fuel system, front and rear suspension, power steering, 4-barrel carburetor, ignition, cooling, transmission, AC, and some interior elements to name just a few… MCM spent about 3 months getting Scarlet ready for Brandon to enjoy.
Brandon graduated from Colleyville-Heritage High School in 2005 and dated Elizabeth who owned the car and was her first car at the time. Brandon and Elizabeth met at Camp Grady Spruce and spent quite a few weekends and HS nights enjoying the mustang. Elizabeth drove Brandon to her parents lake house in the summer nights where he fondly remembers making out and skinny dipping while her parents weren’t there.
After all these years, they are still very close friends and are going to the State Fair this coming weekend and are taking the mustang!
We got to know Brandon during our rebuild process – always coming into MCM with a smile on his face and enjoying life to the fullest. Brandon joined the Army after graduating high school and spent 14 years serving our country. He spent 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan and 1 tour (18 months) in Iraq… as well as a stint in Korea. He was honorably discharged and isretired from the Army for medical purposes. Brandon, thank you for your service!
He still lives in Colleyville and has 3 wonderful children. Brandon works for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. He plans to get the body work done at a later time. So, now he plans to drive Scarlet around and admire her sounds and that way she stands!

His Grandfathers car

Congratulations goes out to Travis Barker for owing this wonderful 1966 Mustang Fastback. It is such a great car, and is Septembers Mustang of the Month.
Wayne Mcentire, Travis’ grandfather, was a car collector along with his great uncle Travis – they restored cars and had a warehouse and shop with nearly 20 – 30 cars. Collectibles such as a 1970 Shelby GT 500, Buick Stage 1 with a 455, 1970 Stingray, and a black fastback mustang. Sadly, Travis’ grandfather passed away last year and Travis inherited the Mustang.
Travis and his wife Chloe, moved to Dallas 9 years ago and live down on the M streets. He works in the family software business that develops solutions for the food processing and industrial sector. Growing up in Amarillo, he and his wife went to Texas Tech and have known each other since high school.
The mustang is really a looker… Raven black exterior and a black interior, Style steel wheels, new front disc brakes, new Borgeson power steering, fuel tank, and front suspension ensures the mustang drives and handles very well! It’s clear his grandfather knew his way around cars and Travis plans on enjoying it for many years to come. Travis has 2 brothers and his younger brother picked up a 1970 Corvette Stingray.
Travis has very fond memories of Grandpa picking up kids from elementary and middle school in the mustang fastback. That sure is a great memory!
Outside of work and enjoying the mustang, Travis plays golf and travels with his wife. Next month they have plans to attend the Formula 1 race in Madrid and then will settle in to welcome their new baby due in January. Congratulations again Travis, your 1966 Mustang Fastback is beautiful!
