A common question we hear is, “Do you use OEM paint?”

The answer is a little more involved than a simple yes or no. There isn’t an OEM paint that comes premixed and ready to spray from the vehicle manufacturer.

Our painters use the vehicle’s paint code as a starting point, then carefully mix, tint, spray test cards, compare them against the vehicle, and make adjustments until the color is as close as possible. Age, sun exposure, previous repairs, and even how the factory paint originally laid down can all affect the final match.

Paint matching takes skill, patience, and a trained eye and it’s one of those behind-the-scenes details that makes a big difference in the final repair.

Why You Should Always Have a Physical Key - not just your phone!

Relying on your phone as your car key is convenient… until it isn’t.

Here’s why keeping a physical key on you is still important:

• After an accident: If your vehicle needs to go to a body shop, most shops require a physical key to safely move, secure, and repair your vehicle. Phone access alone usually won’t cut it.

• Towing situations: Tow companies often need a physical key to properly load/unload or reposition your vehicle.

• Dead phone = no access: Battery dies, phone glitches, app crashes… and suddenly you’re locked out of your own car.

• Emergency access: If someone else needs to move your vehicle (family, first responders, shop, etc.), a physical key makes it possible.

Technology is great - but it’s not foolproof.

A simple backup key can save you a lot of stress when things don’t go as planned.

Final steps!

Before your vehicle is ready for pickup, it goes through a few final checks.

Detail is completed, making sure everything is clean and reset after the repair process.

A test drive is performed to confirm everything feels and functions as it should.

If required, calibrations are completed to ensure all safety systems and sensors are operating properly.

A final quality check is done to make sure everything meets our standards before it goes back to you.

Back together, checked over, and ready to hit the road again!

Next step: Reassembly!

This is where everything starts going back together.

After repairs and refinish are complete, every component is carefully reinstalled, from panels and trim to wiring, sensors, and interior pieces.

Body lines are checked, gaps are aligned, and everything is fit back together the way it was designed to be.

Safety components like sensors and wiring are reinstalled and verified to make sure everything is functioning properly.

It’s a detailed process focused on fit, function, and making sure nothing is overlooked.

Next step: Polish!

Thought the refinish department was done? Not quite.

After paint, the panels go through polishing to refine the finish, remove any minor imperfections, and bring out the full depth and gloss.

This step is all about dialing it in, making sure everything looks smooth, consistent, and exactly how it should.

This is where the finish really comes to life.

Next step: Refinish!

This is where everything starts to come back to life.

Once prep is complete, the vehicle moves into the paint booth where color and clear coat are applied following manufacturer specifications.

Color matching, application technique, and controlled conditions all play a role in achieving a consistent, factory-quality finish.

It’s not just about making it look good, it’s about making it look right.
