🚨 WE FOUND THE FAILED PART! 🚨

Remember that 2026 Ram 1500 that came into Redline Automotive after ingesting water and wouldn’t turn over?

Well… we found the problem. 😳

💥 IT BROKE A CONNECTING ROD!

When an engine ingests water, the results can be catastrophic. Water doesn’t compress like air and fuel do, and that can put an unbelievable amount of force on the internal engine components.

In this case, that force was enough to bend/break a connecting rod and take this engine out. 🔧💀

A customer brought this truck in because the A/C wasn’t working… but while checking it over, Don found something much more serious. The front brake rotor had broken completely in two! 😳

“Don, you were supposed to be doing spark plugs…” 😂

Me: “What are you doing?”

Don: “Changing the evaporator.”

Me: “THE EVAPORATOR?! I thought you were doing spark plugs!” 🤦‍♂️😂

Next thing I know, the whole dash is sitting outside the F-150! 🤣

Turns out the evaporator was packed with dirt and debris, so it was time to tear into it and get this thing breathing right again.

I’m starting to think Don just likes to take the whole truck apart. 😂🔧
