The 4th of July is one of the deadliest holidays, with traveling, fireworks, water, alcohol and other recreational activities. Sparklers burn at temperatures between 1,200°F and 2,000°F, thats hot enough to melt glass and even copper and is the most dangerous firework. Motorcycle crashes are double on this holiday. Criminologists consistently rank the 4th of July as the most violent day of the year for gunfire and mass killings. They assume this is due to heat and gathers leading to "short fuses".
