Hi everyone, Keith Canfield here. I was the third generation Canfield Radiator for 26 years. It was my life long dream to carry on the business my Papa Canfield started, and my father and Uncles helped grow. Unfortunately there are other reasons besides what's in the news (that I won't discuss here) why this dream has come to an end. Instead of celebrating 75 years in business, which is quite an accomplishment for a family owned independent garage, my father and two uncles made the hard decision to end the legacy and close the shop. It hasn't been easy for my family an I to deal with, but there is a silver lining. Although I miss the shop and all our loyal customers, I've found a new home. I want you to know I'm working at Ruscitti & Decker Auto Service located at 530 Kelso Dr. MILLCREEK, just west of Waldameer. It's another family run garage that I feel values the importance of honest customer service, just like my Uncle Nolan and Uncle Rick believed and instilled in me. This shop can handle all your automotive needs. So I urge you to follow me to Ruscitti & Deckers, where I bring my many years of Automotive Air Conditioning and cooling system experience. And maybe I'll talk them into offering note pads!! Tell them you are a Canfield Customer and ask for me. Thank you for your loyalty and your future consideration. God bless America and you......
P.S.,............. Let's go Brandon 😆

Always have oil, fluids, belts, and other milestone maintenance performed by us at the recommended intervals. Doing so ensures that your vehicle will last for several hundred thousand miles, giving you more than your money’s worth.

If you feel a shimmy or unaccounted for movement in your steering wheel while driving at higher speeds, the problem could be with wheel alignment, wheel balance, or even a bent wheel.

For cars that have sensor lights on the dash rather than gauges, it is difficult to tell what the problem is when the “hot engine” light pops up. Instead of ignoring it, bring your car in. While it may be just a malfunction, the risk is not worth the damage if it is a serious problem.

Grinding sounds when braking are not good; they indicate the pads have failed and the metal backing is rubbing on the brake rotor. Bring your vehicle in immediately to have the problem fixed.

It's a good idea to periodically check the oil level in your car’s engine, especially as it nears time to have the oil changed. Not only does it tell you how much oil is in the engine, you can get an idea of how dirty the oil is.

Most cars today have an air filter for the cabin area, and it helps keep contaminants out. Regular replacement keeps everyone breathing easily, and is a boon to those who have allergies or similar health problems.

Every so often, take a moment to check the condition of your tires, looking for excessive wear on them. The tread should wear down evenly; if not, the location of excessive wear is an indicator of a specific problem.

The reduction gear helps extend the range you can drive your electric car and it requires a specially-formulated oil to operate properly. This is not a project for home mechanics as it can cause serious damage and void the vehicle’s warranty.

The problem with worn tires is not just with the tires themselves. Uneven wear indicates problems with the suspension or alignment that can cause issues with handling and driveability.

Your transmission does not have to let you down. By performing regular maintenance, checking fluid levels, and practicing good driving habits, your transmission should deliver excellent performance for the life of the car.
