OBITUARY: Lawton Wayne "LJ" Dantzler

Lawton Wayne “LJ” Dantzler of Enterprise, AL passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was three years old.

The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church Parlor in Enterprise, AL on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

LJ was born on July 2, 2021, in Dothan, AL to Lawton Sheffield Dantzler and Jessica Nichole Whited Miller. LJ loved life, story time, gymnastics, swimming, and sharing the chair with his daddy. He also enjoyed helping his mom around the house and never missed an opportunity to go with his dad on the tool truck. LJ had a unique way of lighting up any room he entered. He never met a stranger and was so excited about becoming a big brother.

LJ is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tony Danford and many great grandparents.

LJ is survived by his loving parents, Lawton Dantzler and Jessica Miller; one brother, Stephen Ellis Miller; paternal grandparents, Robert Dantzler (Sonja), Melissa Sheffield; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Danford (Chris Brown); aunts and uncles, Kevin Gardner, Carmen Gardner, Cassie McCormack, Shawn Dantzler, Cassie Metzger (James), and Stephen Whited (Destiny); and several cousins, extended family and friends.

This is a post no parent should ever have to make. Our sweet, beautiful, silly baby boy LJ was taken from us in a tragic accident this morning. He was so very loved and so very missed already. We would like to ask everyone for your thoughts and prayers for our family and friends to make it through this horrible time. This boy was an angel on earth and now he is in a better place with so many people who loved him too. We know everyone is going to want to reach out and we appreciate your love and support but we ask that you keep calls and all to a minimum at this time. We will be posting information about arrangements sometime next week. Please hug your little ones a little tighter tonight.

Giving back feels good

Level Plains Police Department has had an outstanding response from our community in getting our car hauler trailers wood fixed. A major thanks goes to Lawtons Tool Express LLC, Waters Roofing LLC, and Michael Shaffer. The Reserve Officers and their efforts in maintaining our equipment and getting new equipment ready to be fielded.

Something a little different happened this year at expo… When we first started this three years ago it was hard. We made a lot sacrifices and pushed forward to make something amazing for our family. I have not met a lot of you personally but I love getting updates on your lives and play a huge role behind the scenes. We were recognized as #169 top distributor team in all of North America this year and couldn’t be more proud. Lawton and I would like to thank all of you because without amazing people like you this goal we set for ourselves when we first began wouldn’t have been achieved.
