So what's your favorite car? I fell in love with corvettes as a kid, and this has always been one of my favorites, the 1957. It was the first corvette with a v-8 engine and a four speed manual transmission. Fuel injection has been standard on cars for about 40 years now, but the 1957 corvette had a primitive, non computer controlled version. However, the best thing about the '57 corvette to me, it's just a beautiful car.

Details are getting ironed out, the party is starting to come together.

When: June 27th from 5:00-9:00
Where: At the shop, of course.
What: A small party to celebrate our 10 years in business.

We will have BBQ catered by Smokin’ Outlaw Kitchen and beer from LandLocked Ales.

We hope everybody will stop by, have some food, a piece of cake, and say hi. We could've have made it this far without all of you.

This year is a HUGE deal for us. 10 years ago Dana and I purchased Autovisions from the original owners, Craig and Terrie Conley. We will be throwing a party at the end of June, (June 27th to be exact). Stay tuned for more information.

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everybody. Based on the rainy, cold, snowy forecast for today, it's a good thing that Denver held their parade on Saturday.

Today is Earth Day, this year will be the first year that we are sponsoring the city of city of Englewood's Earth Day Celebration. Auto Repair is not an industry that is generally thought of when it comes to conservation or environmentalism. So I'd like to take a minute to share a few of the things that we do at Autovisions to minimize our environmental impact.

Most of the waste that we generate is recycled in some way, from the carboard boxes and plastic bottles that are recycled by Waste Management to the tires, batteries, and fluids that are picked up by licensed recyclers. Our scrap metal is picked up and taken to a metal recycling facility.

We have specialized equipment to prevent spillage of any fluids and to prevent the venting of refrigerant during A/C repairs.

There will always be more that we can do, but we are proud to do our part to be a responsible business.

It seems that spring is coming early this year so we decided to add some color to our waiting room. I grew up in Michigan so the idea of cacti is kind of new to me, but I love the variety that they come in.

New year, same commitment to ongoing training. Yesterday we were learning about turbochargers. The class was specifically focused on VW turbos, but the principles are the same for all manufacturers. We are seeing way more turbocharged engines than we used to as companies have gotten away from larger engines and gone to smaller turbocharged engines.
