Sporting a complete nut and bolt stunning ground up restoration this REAL FACTORY CRANBERRY RED over BLACK BUCKET SEAT 4- Speed Chevelle SS is absolutely stunning and is documented with not one, but two, REAL FACTORY BUILD SHEETS. DOCUMENTED LS6. PERIOD.

When we purchased this car, we knew we were buying a beautifully restored car...Like so many, she was all dressed up for the ball but there was one small problem- nobody taught her to dance! Well, our two Johns in classic cars have spent about 50 hours fine tuning this monster into the performer she should have been when we got her. We all know the story, it’s the final stages of the restoration and the final fettling just gets passed by out of hurry or frustration or who knows why- we picked up the ball and after a carb rebuild, some replacement electricals, a front-end alignment, oil change, minor wiring completion, a brilliant detail and a bit more we can now say this LS6 is ready for any rumble you’d like to take it too. We are proud of this one.

Check out the photos- go ahead and look for issues, I challenge you to find any...The car is as good as it looks in the pictures, quality throughout. Check out all the codes that are pictured, we did, and we are convinced this car is exactly what it is supposed to be....

1956 Austin Healey Factory 100M

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful CONCOURS GOLD JUDGED Healey 100 FACTORY M!!!

This Healey Factory M is the result of years of effort and lots and lots of money- in excess of 160K in restoration receipts. The result is a Concours Gold Judged example in its very first judging. This car is simply amazing. It is of course registered in the Bill Meade Healey Factory M registry as a real, factory-built Healey M. Estimates have around 200 still in existence.

If this is not the best restored factory M in the country, I'd like to see the one that is better- please feel free to speak with me directly regarding this car on my cell- Greg, 440 823 0247. My brother John and I owned this car for 20 years before we entered into an agreement for a ground up restoration to be performed by our highly skilled and dear friends- Darryl Wagner at Automotive Artistry and Gary Feldman, Austin Healey Club of America Past President Emeritus and a Healey 100 Concours Judge....we wanted the best and we got it- thank you gentlemen.

There was never any discussion of shortcuts on this car- the answer was always the same- make it right.

Now for the car- Documented as one of the original 640 Factory M cars built by Austin Healey, we also believe this is one of the best color combinations in black over red with a red interior. The Heritage Certificate indicated this is precisely how the factory built it in 1956! Matching numbers throughout and correctly restored to the birth certificate.

The car was disassembled down to the last bit and every piece of this M has been fully restored. The process took almost two years to complete and is very correct and very sympathetic to what is correct for a car of this caliber. Obviously, there's a few different ways to do this- buy reproduction parts and slap them on or do your best to preserve what was built in the Healey factory in 1956- we went with B. As an example, when faced with a few minor pin holes in the floors we could have opted for the easier, less expensive solution- slap the “import metal new floors in there”. NOPE let's do it right and metal repair the originals. That's an example of the focus throughout.

We have hundreds of photos of the restoration process. Included in this listing are some general condition photos, some judging photos and some restoration photos – we have tons more.

When the car was complete, we took it to concours judging- that's an interesting process and while we took Gold with room to spare, we were surprised at a couple of the deductions- as an example- we spent a fortune to make the underside of the car look as good as the top- when we didn't undercoat over the rear end we lost points...OK by us we were NEVER spraying undercoating on this car- NEVER. Also somewhat interesting is a point deduction because our four bumper over riders did not have a “pronounced enough dimple” in their tops- the chromer made them too nice.... Ok we get it and man are we happy with the level this car is restored too.

I know there's been a lot of conversation here about the process but I believe the process tell the story of the quality. The car is everything it appears to be in the pictures and is ready for any show field at any car show.

This M has seen next to no use since completion and has been stored in climate-controlled conditions and cared for like a work of art.
