George is a top used truck sales rep and has been since he started here nine years ago. He’s been in the business for almost 40 years, driving for 10 and then selling for the past 27. He credits a friend of his father’s, Wally Ropel, for being his mentor and helping him break into sales.
George is paying it forward and offers advice to the people he’s helped bring into the truck sales business, saying “be patient and plant seeds, eventually the seeds will sprout and need to be harvested.” He also rightfully points out that sales is a marathon and not a sprint. Many of George’s clients have become friends and repeat customers.
In his spare time, George loves to be with his family. He also golfs, and his favorite hobby is snowmobiling.
George says that TransChicago offers the opportunity to succeed at a high level, regardless of our industry’s challenges. And we say it’s employees like George who contribute to our success as well.
