LET'S TALK ABOUT PISTON RINGS
--->
Mar 22, 2025
How much have pistons and rings changed in the last 20 years? Let's take a look at the evolution of piston and rings by taking a look inside a 20 year old NASCAR engine. The differences are quite dramatic, and so is the performance.

We’ve actually run this same test on two different engines, and the results were the same both times. With the old pistons, rings and hone, the engine made 730 HP with the baseline carb and fuel (32 degrees of timing). With the new rings, pistons and hone, the engine made 773 HP with the baseline carb and fuel at 30 degrees of timing.

In all my years on this earth, I have learned that when we are called to go home, we will go. We have one life to live. The material things we invest in are left behind. Memories, therefore, are important to me.
So, I'm going to start a "reunion of friends". The idea is to see who reads a post without a picture. This will be a very short experiment if no one reads my post. But if you are reading this message, comment using a single word about how we met. After that COPY this message on your wall and I will also leave you a word.
Please don't leave a word and don't bother doing the second thing. Let’s go! My friends are important to me, especially right now! Now it is your turn.

NOTICE TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FANS

---> The responses to my posts have diminished by 80%
Taking note of this I have to assume that I have been shadow-banned = What can I do about this dilemma?

Anyone with ideas please put them in the comments.

THUNDERBIRD RACE CARS
Jul 27, 2024
In this Rare Cars documentary, we are jumping into the history of one of the most insane Factory Ford race cars ever built - the 4 1957 Thunderbird race cars affectionately nicknamed the Battlebirds!

These supercharged V8 (or the one 7.0L big block beast) were the tip of the spear in Fords performance arsenal when it came to destroying the Corvette and others on track - however these cars were mothballed before they could ever reach the real light of day thus ending their fascinating story before it could really get rolling.

Learn all there is to know about the Thunderbird "Battlebird" race cars in this episode of Rare Cars.

I WAS WONDERING HOW LONG THE OIL CARTELS HAVE BEEN RIPPING US OFF?

When Was Oil Discovered? The Chinese discovered the first oil in 600 B.C. and transported it in pipelines made from bamboo. However, Colonel Drake's heralded discovery of oil in Pennsylvania in 1859 and the Spindletop discovery in Texas in 1901 set the stage for the new oil economy.

The plaque commemorating the event at the Drake Well Museum reads: On this site Edwin Drake drilled the world's first oil well, striking oil on August 27, 1859. Crude oil — which seeps to the surface in this part of Pennsylvania — was often collected and used medicinally to treat rheumatism and sprains.

Col. Fletcher Prouty
Explains that oil was named as a fossil fuel at a scientific symposium in 1943 because it matched the same criteria as most all of the other forms of fossilized material
