What began in 1950 as a small operation has grown into a trusted name across South Georgia and North Florida. Founder Mr. Franklin Sutton started by selling fertilizer, including the then-new anhydrous ammonia. When he saw there was little equipment available to properly apply it, he designed and built his own. That innovation became known as “The Sutton System,” which ultimately became the company’s namesake.

Over the years, Sutton System Sales expanded to meet the evolving needs of its customers. The company transitioned from manufacturing farm equipment to supplying lubricants and added fuel in the mid-1990s. Today, fuel, lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and related products serve as the backbone of the business.

Now led by James and John Paul Sutton, the company has grown into one of the region’s fastest-growing petroleum marketers. The third generation, including Jason, Jeremy, and Abby, is also actively involved, continuing the legacy. They serve a wide range of industries including agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, trucking, construction, and government, supporting businesses across South Georgia and North Florida.
