"You're still young. Be patient. You have you're whole life ahead of you." Lies.
I used to hear this often when I would share my goals and lack of patience in wanting to obtain them. When people would respond with any variation of this I'd tell them they are either willingly ignorant to how time works or they are trying to sell me some bu****it. I understand that some things take time. It doesn't mean I should not be diligent in my approach or accept other people's timelines. I am not young, based on my family history I've got about 20 years left to be functional. Certainly I took the long way to get to where I am today spending the better part of 20 years tied to a desk slowly dying but I am here now sitting at what is really the beginning of all the things I still want to accomplish.
