How it works:

Welcome to my page! Below are the how to’s for drop off and pick up.

First-please contact me. Either through messenger, text, phone call or email. Just give me a heads up that you’re interested in my service.

Next-drop it off. Whether it’s one chain or 15. There is a drop box located on my front porch for easy collection. Above the box are supplies for tagging and marking your chains with your preferred contact information.
I check the box daily. So, if you forgot to contact me ahead of time-no worries. I’ll find your chains. Please make sure they’re clearly marked. It’s preferred if you use a small cardboard box or bag to keep your items together in case someone else’s chains are in there too.

Next-I will sharpen your chains. I am currently working 3 other jobs, so it may take me a couple days. If you need chains done in a timely manner be sure to let me know.

Completed chains-I will create an invoice and your chains will be placed back in the box on the porch with your invoice attached. Currently I can accept cash, Facebook pay, Apple Pay and PayPal. I’m working to get to card payments. At this time I will only accept business checks unless I know you personally. Along with the chain marking supplies is a cash box. Cash and check payments may be placed in an envelope (provided), marked with your name and dropped into the cash box. For your safety and my family’s-my front porch is covered with cameras.

I certainly hope you appreciate my work. Please let me know as soon as possible if my work does not meet your standards.

Did you know?
I spent 5 years sharpening chains for a local small engine shop, learning from one of the best mechanics around and I'm a Silver level certified Stihl technician. Now, I've made this service available on my own.

Most tree companies don't have the time or personnel to monkey around with sharpening dozens of chains at a time. Hand filing can be so tedious and can destroy the cutting quality of a chain if done incorrectly. Sharpening chains on a quality grinder is the best way to keep your chains as sharp as they can be and get you back to cutting wood sooner.
