This last Saturday our Elizabeth (Rattle snake) Fire Department drove all the neighborhoods so the children could see Santa Clause. Being a big kid myself; and never missing an opportunity I asked Santa if he could bring me a 426 Hemi Engine for Christmas. I told him I'd been real good. He said to keep being good and I'll get one. I've found this to be a standing joke every time I see Santa I ask him for a Hemi Engine. Now you've got to understand I know a lot of these guys are just stand in's, I mean the "Real Santa" can't be everywhere all the time. It reminded me of something I had read in the Bible Hebrews 13:1-2 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Years ago (probably around 1980) my brother Mark and I had just got out of church Calvary Baptist in Vancouver Washington. We went cruising down town in my Plymouth and as we drove by the public bus stop we saw a man in a black suit with a cane and a brief case sitting in the glass enclosure waiting for the bus. I probably made some rash comment like what's this guys problem, doesn't he know the busses don't run on Sunday?...I circled the glass building in my car, It was then I saw the Red tip on his cane. We stopped and talked to him, told him the busses didn't run and after a bit convinced him to let us give him a ride. He was just going to the Heights. I drove him up to a street I recognized up above the College found the address and let him out, ( I oddly don't remember any real conversation ). We let him out, Mark got in the front seat and before I pulled away from the curb I took a second look to see if he had made it up the steps to where he said he was going......But He Was Gone. Not up the steps, not down the street? really not anywhere?? Hey I'm not saying We entertained an Angel but? Ya never know. You all be kind to everyone you meet and have a nice day. And who know maybe that Hemi's coming.
