Patten Yachts builds a proprietary line of 22 foot boats that can be customized and finished off for a variety of uses for the discriminating buyers who want something more than a production boat. Our design blends traditional and elegant lines above the water line with a modern performing bottom. Our boats embody the quality of workmanship and sea-keeping ability that Maine-built boats have come
to demonstrate with an emphasis on performance, volume, comfort and a dry ride. Our combined boat building and design experience exceeds 200 years. We are proud members of ABBRA (American Boat Builders and Repairs Association) and all of our boats are built to ABYC standards (American Boat & Yacht Council). Patten Yachts is located on the banks of the Piscataqua River in Eliot, Maine. This southernmost region of Maine has a rich history of boat building dating back to the 17th century. Our area was once world renowned for its quality of ship and boat building. Boat building declined over the last several decades as the industry trended toward mass production. As a result, many of the boats available today are not built to the hull volume and quality standards seen in the past, but instead are being built to meet material reduction strategies and price point trends. Maine’s boat building industry has retained its tradition of custom built boats by the finest craftsmen and has bucked the trend of mass production.
