Who’s right? Ep. 10: the dual left turn.
Two left-turn lanes, green arrow. Our truck takes the right-hand lane, the way the CDL manual teaches. A car turns alongside it on the inside, and the trailer tracks in across the line.
A: The truck. Its trailer crossed the line. Keep it in your lane.
B: The car. Don’t turn beside a truck. Trailers cut inside.

70 zone, two lanes. Our truck is in the left lane, passing a dump truck. We’re already alongside his trailer when his left signal comes on. He comes over anyway. Right into us. Horn, brake, hug the line. 1 foot between his trailer and our cab.
A — Our truck. You’re sitting in his blind spot. Drop back or get past.
B — The dump truck. A signal isn’t a right of way. Clear the mirror first.
