Like the Tale of Two Cities, this is the tale of two bikes. A lovely Willow Green and Cream 2015 Indian Chief Vintage and a similar red and cream 2016 Indian Chief. Both have leather, windshields and a Thunderstroke 111. Both have original owners who claim to have been fastidious owners. Green for $12,000 and red for $8,800. What would you buy? - Max M

2016 Indian Chief Classic in a non-factory paintjob. South Carolina seller apparently didn't like the stock factory no-choice-but Pearl White so he went orangey instead. He kept the mileage low too at 9,725 miles. The Thunder Stroke 111 had been out and about for a few years under new Polaris ownership so things should be just ducky. $8,500 obo. - Max M

One-of-a-kind hot rodded 2003 Indian Scout in solid white and chrome, lots of chrome. Hot rodded with an S&S 124 replacing the standard S&S 88 and a full-fat rear tire to handle it. Texas seller says, "Starts and runs like it should and is ready for its new home." 15,236 miles. - Max M

Strangely, this red and white 2016 Indian Chief Vintage never came in these two-tone colors that I know of. Oh well, doesn't matter because it looks just peachy as is with just enough Desert Tan leather saddlebags and fringe. Thunder Stroke 111 engine powers it up. Massachusetts seller says, "Has just over 4000 miles. The bike is 10k firm. First to see will buy." $10,000. - Max M

Pretty slick black and white 2000 Gilroy-era Indian Chief said to have low miles, but no mention of what it exactly was. Nice S&S Super Stock 88-inch engine, just make sure you have plenty of Loctite for the rest of the bike. If you're into black leather and lots of studs, this could be the bike for you. $15,000. - Max M

Although most people think this is one of those Royal Enfield Indians, it's not. Made in the Springfield Indian factory, not England. Another restored 1949 Indian Scout 249 up for grabs in gorgeous Indian Black with gold hand-painted Indian tank script. Lovely bike to look at. Ridden 2,612 miles (since restoration?). Gotta be a brave person to take in somebody else's project. But sometimes when a bike's close to finishing, it might be different. Take this newly painted 1946 Indian Chief that's waiting for someone to tidy it up and finish it mechanically, it's almost there. Massachusetts seller says, " Frame painted. Sheet metal completely redone. Motor and trans rebuilt. Needs carb and pipes installed."$21,000. - Max M
